VOGUE: THE SMALL CREATURES OF
SPRING
This stop motion animated film for Vogue Japan is a collaboration between Christopher Webb and director Lacey. Artist Billie Achillios crafted the animated creatures entirely from cosmetics by Chanel, Yves Saint-Laurent and Christian Dior. The shoot at Chris's FX WRX employed specialty rigging and techniques developed for tabletop, miniatures, and animation. Motion control allowed multiple light passes to be combined in post.
The Small Creatures of Spring is a stop motion animated Editorial piece for VOGUE JAPAN. This was a terrific opportunity for CW Films to collaborate with director, animator, photographer LACEY and artist/model builder Billie Achillios. Each animated creature is entirely made from cosmetics including Channel, Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior. Stop motion animation was combined with motion control shooting to blend a hand made style with the ability to combine multiple in-camera light passes in post.
